San Francisco recently played host to a Microsoft keynote event that served as a launchpad for significant Windows and Surface innovations. This substantial event offered updates guaranteed to thrill tech enthusiasts and professionals, marking a new era of computing excellence.
Headlining the event was the introduction of the Surface Laptop Ultra, marking its territory firmly in the high-performance laptop competition. Powered by Nvidia’s RTX Spark Arm-based chip, the device is priced from $2,599. To be available from October 16th, the base configuration includes an 8-core CPU, 24GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. One critical new feature of note is a built-in magnetic USB-C charging facility, steering away from the traditional Surface Connect magnetic charging port.
Software creators also got their dose of excitement as Microsoft unveiled the Surface RTX Spark Dev Box. This specialized mini PC, which is retailing at $5,999 and expected to start shipping in November, offers an impressive performance and an indispensable tool for developers.
Further strengthening Microsoft’s bid towards improving productivity and efficiency, was the unveiling of “Hybrid Intelligence” updates for Windows. These innovative features maximize the role of Copilot in performing tasks using files on your Windows PC.
