MIT Quantum Initiative Launches New Fellowship Program to Propel Quantum Research

Building an Interdisciplinary Quantum Hub

The QMIT Fellowship is deliberately designed to foster an interdisciplinary community, open to exceptional quantum researchers from fields as diverse as physics, chemistry, materials science, and the fundamental aspects of biology and Earth sciences. It also encourages the fusion of artificial intelligence with quantum science to unfold unexplored research paradigms.

Fellows supported through the program will be welcomed into MIT’s extensive quantum ecosystem. They will have the opportunity to collaborate with various research entities within the MIT constellation, such as the Research Laboratory of Electronics, MIT Lincoln Laboratory, the Department of Physics, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the MIT-Harvard Center for Ultracold Atoms, and various interdisciplinary research centers and laboratories. Moreover, the fellowship program aims to bolster the broader quantum community at MIT by advocating collaboration, mentorship, and intellectual exchanges across different disciplines.
