MIT Unveils SEAL: A Breakthrough Framework for Self-Adapting AI Language Models

Researchers at MIT have just unveiled something that could dramatically change how artificial intelligence learns and evolves. Their new framework, called SEAL (Self-adaptive Language Model), aims to break language models out of their usual rut. Until now, most AI models have basically been stuck in time: they’re trained once, and that’s it—their knowledge is frozen, locked away with no real way to keep up with the world as it changes. With SEAL, that could all be about to change.

The heart of SEAL’s approach is surprisingly down-to-earth: instead of having to retrain a whole AI model from scratch every time you want it to learn something new, SEAL empowers the model to teach itself—much the way a person reflects on what they’ve learned and adapts.
